Annie Pootoogook

This exhibition features thirty-nine drawings of renowned artist Annie Pootoogook (Inuit), chronicling social, economic, and cultural realities of the Canadian North. A winner of the prestigious Sobey Art Prize in 2006 and chosen to participate in documenta 12 in 2007, Pootoogook depicts in her works the mundane as well as the intimate, while expressing a wide range of content and emotions.

This exhibition was organized and toured by the Illingworth Kerr Gallery at the Alberta College of Art + Design, Calgary. The catalogue was co-produced by the Illingworth Kerr Gallery and the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, Charlottetown.
