"This book could be titled 'Quotes From Otherwise Intelligent Art Types' or 'Made in White America,' but it is called 'Talking Leaves' for Sequoyah, who made the paper leaves speak in our Native language, Cherokee. The quotations represent a few of the many remarks made to me over the years, many of which have been reiterated by various people at different times in my life. It should be noted that stupidity has no correlation with education or gender in my experience."
