Comanche Toy Cradleboard

Do you remember as a child, you liked to play with houses and dolls? In the 1800's many children made their own dolls and houses out many different things. They also loved to make cradleboards. This mini cradleboard has meaning to it. It signifies the beauty of artwork. The cradleboard is made form buffalo hide, wood, and beads. The children would sew their cradleboard together. It would take all day but they finished them, and played with the cradleboards. A lot of Indians still use these.
